I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the direct supervision of JJ Robinson, LPC-Supervisor. I hold a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I have worked with Hope For Texoma as a counselor for 2 years now, and have past experiences working with families at a Child Advocacy Center.
As a parent, I understand how difficult it can be to manage, teach, and help your child overcome adversities in order to reach their full potential. As a professional, my passion is helping children, adolescents, and adults learn the skills they need to feel competent and brave in their ability to face life’s challenges. My counseling style is patient, warm, genuine, and relaxed. I strive to make therapy a comfortable and safe environment for you to fully explore your authentic self without fear of judgment while also challenging you to face and push through any obstacles.
I have experience helping clients of all ages, specifically children and adolescents, navigate anxiety, depression, high functioning autism, ADHD/ADD, grief, bullying, life changes, and relationships using various modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy techniques, and mindfulness. When working with minors, I make it a priority to work closely with the families to help parents understand how to better support their child so that the family dynamic can function as a whole unit.
